Today is our final day in Copenhagen. We packed our bags and left them in the hotel at noon as our flight wasn’t until 10pm and headed out.

We did the Christiansborg palace first only to find out most of it was closed but we did get to see some of the royal horses.

After a leisurely lunch near city hall at Kate Katz where I had a chicken sandwich and Renee had a burger. The burger came with a fried egg – which R always questions why? I don’t speak the hidden meaning of it so I just accept it as extra protein. R like’s reasons. My latte did come with a chocolate covered almond so I was already ahead. We stopped off at another Kafe to enjoy some tea because why not.

We headed off to the marble church and Amalienborg Palace which is surrounded by several buildings. This is really a working palace and as such had parade uniform guards vs Rosenborg which had military guards.

I parked R at a Kafe to enjoy some more drinks. While I walked the Amalienborg palace which had some humorous stories of the royals.

It is tradition for Royals to exchange honors when they do state visits and they had a lot of the collection of foreign honors on display which was fascinating.
