Norway, Day 5, Fredag (Friday) – Stavanger Norway

This morning we got up to meetup with my brother and his family. We haven’t seen them for about 4 years so I was looking forward to seeing my nieces who are both teenagers. Our hotel is more of a boutique hotel than a regular one we feel.

Renee did have a moment – when she picked this up which was next to the do not disturb and asked is this so we don’t surprise staff and I pointed out that it was if you had a pet. She paused and went ”oh, I thought it was for us” we both laughed at her moment. It’s not a common door sign but the paws were a clue.

Walking outside we were surprised to see that the quay next to us has been taken over by a cruise ship. It was now a sudden wall of steel.

Meeting up with the family we strolled Old Stavanger

One interesting thing is that there are a trolls outside stores in Stavanger. According to another website they are to ward off poor behavior from children

We took the family to have some bubble tea, visit a book shop and then we had lunch at a burger place in town. As my brother’s family have only been here for a few weeks the city is fairly new to them as well. It’s not a big city though. Tomorrow we’re all going on a small excursion up the fjord.

Later when we had dinner the wall of steel had gone.

Looks beautiful. Where are the pictures of your family. Would love to see them. Any luggage yet?
