So I spent some time last night playing games with I think 8 of the female volunteers. We played “Never Ever have I” to get to know each other using a phone app. We also played “F#u@ the dealer” card game (it is a drinking card game). As it was happy hour – I drank I think 8 cocktails in an hour and a half. I wasn’t drunk because they weren’t that strong but so full…..
This wasn’t part of my college experience but it was a lot of fun. I would say the younger generation have done so much more than what I had done by their age in terms of relationships and so many other things.
Some of the conversations are so interesting. I spent an hour discussing with a Chinese Volunteer about the state of Hongkong. It was fascinating as from her perspective Hongkong people have all these great liberties and can’t understand why they are upset. We discussed Chinese media, the government, future relations between China and America. She and the other Chinese volunteers have never met so many foreigners before so they were loving the experience.
